Aisha The Explorer

For this semester I would involved in creating a parody TV Show opening for Dora the Explorer with Sydney and Aisha. Our initial plan was to create the whole film on the green screen so our first step was to become familiar with how to use it. Everyday for the first month we practiced in the green screen room and around the school trying to perfect it before getting a cast together in costume and makeup. After writing the lyrics we brought them down to the chorus for an audio recording. After seeing the chorus perform our song with such energy, we decided with the help of Muench that we wanted to have them be apart of our film. After a few bumps in the road we made a new plan and went to GNAT for green screen shots. I learned so much at GNAT and the experience got me really interested in studying film in the future. In the last few weeks our group has worked really hard to make Dora happen. After months of prep, GNAT trips, flex block and after school editing, and help from the chorus, we created a final product. Although it was not as we originally imagined it, we learned more from sticking with it and figuring out how to get it done than I ever imagined.

As I look on the last three weeks of class, it is a fulfilling feeling to reflect back on all of the hard work that went into making this film happen. I showed up on time everyday, came in during flex block, e block, and after school to edit and film, and always racked my phone to rid the distraction from what we needed to do. Not only the last three weeks but all semester, my group has worked hard, stayed on task, and learned so much from creating this film.
